OUR TAIWAN 8D7N | DAY 3: TAIPEI JAYCHOU, TOILET THEMED CAFES & XIMENDING

After 2 fulfilling days in Taichung, we headed to the city of Taiwan. HSR from Taichung to Taipei takes approximately 60mins.

Thanks 老天爷 for giving us great weather when we reached Taipei. We accommodated at Saual Keh Hotel (帥客旅店) which is conveniently located 10mins away from Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall MRT station. Rooms were really clean and cosy and the best part was the washroom with JACUZZI!

JH: "Pass me my cigar, please?"

Pooh has his own comfy bed too :)
First stop in Taipei was to visit the restaurant owned by JH's favourite person of all. It is located (weirdly) in an university. Cabbing down from or hotel took us about 20mins. Food was good and served in big portions, we should have just ordered 1 set to share. Anyway, the ambience was good and JH went crazy in there.

唉喲~不錯~

Headed to Ximending in the evening, and what's there at Ximending that we must try? Yes! Ah Zhong Mee Sua (阿宗麵線). The 'mee sua' culture was interesting, every customer gathered outside the stall and started slurping mee sua, so cute. And yes, we joined in the fun.

Next up was toilet cafe, the place was not exactly easy to find, we had to walk quite a distance from MRT (not sure if we made many stupid turns though). Food was so-so, except we get to sit on toilet bowls to have our meals. We would recommend this place, due to the taste of the food and the cleanliness level of the restaurant. If you really want a taste of toilet cafe, then buy a bowl of 阿宗麵線 and eat in the toilet of your hotel. :P

First day in Taipei was really relaxing despite the city buzz, looking forward to Jiufen tomorrow!
