OUR TAIWAN 8D7N | DAY1: TAOYUAN - CINGJING FARM

We visited Taiwan in February (very 'smart' choice made cos it's the coldest month of the year!), and the temperature during our stay there was about 10 - 22 degrees. Nonetheless, we had such a great time that we're still suffering from severe 'Taiwan Withdrawal Syndrome'.

Touched down at Taoyuan International Airport at 5.40am in the morning feeling like walking zombies because our Scoot flight was too uncomfortable for us to get any sleep onboard. Nevertheless, the thought of seeing 'Yang Meh Mehs' kept our adrenaline pumping!

Directions from Taoyuan International Airport - Cingjing Farm
  1. u-Bus 705 to Taoyuan Highspeed Rail (HSR) Station - tickets bought at u-Bus ticketing counter near the bus stop (統聯客運).
  2. HSR from Taoyuan to Taichung - online advanced booking are available 4 weeks prior to travel date. Advanced bookings are highly recommended to enjoy an early bird discount, click here to link.
  3. Rent Car to Cingjing Farm - rented a car through 唐先生 he and his team are experts around Cingjing Farm, very reliable and safe to travel with. Click here to link.
The entire journey took about 2.5 hours and cost us approximately NT$850/pax (SGD$36.50). But it's totally worth it, shall let pictures do the talking!

Lunch at Cingjing! Trust me, the chicken roll and grilled mushrooms were yummy-licious!

call me BOSS!
Look at our 'steamed' faces. It's sooo freaking cold!

Meh Meh: "Eh? Is this food or what??"

The sakuras made it all worth it :)

Carton King was a utter disappointment. Food was so-so what we find most interesting was the paper cup holder, that's all..

What could be better than complimentary steamboat dinner provided when it's below 10 degrees outside?

Oh, by the way, accomodation at Starry Minsu (观星园) was great, it's really thoughtful of the owner to provide electric heat blankets for us. Rooms were clean and we could complain much given the price we paid.

The long day had us both drained out, looking forward to a great day at Taichung!
